Please keep praying.

How do you respond when your best friend tells you that their house is so silent now, and that she doesn't think that her mother is ever coming back? That it's been too long and that there should have been some news - any news - by now? What do you do when she breaks into tears and nothing you can say can help? How do you tell people that their comments are not what she needs to hear right now, no matter how well intentioned they may be? Most of all, how do you bear the waiting?
